Have a good St. Patrick’s Day

st patricks dayThis weekend sees Saint Patrick’s Day take place on 17 March. It is named after Saint Patrick (c. AD 385–461), the most commonly recognised of the patron saints of Ireland.

Saint Patrick’s Day was made an official feast day in the early seventeenth century and is observed by the Catholic Church, the Anglican Communion (especially the Church of Ireland), the Eastern Orthodox Church and Lutheran Church. For Christians, the day commemorates Saint Patrick and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland. However, it has also become a celebration of Irishness and Irish culture in general.

If you are having a party to celebrate the day then give Event Hire a call on 01922 628961 or email us to talk about any tables, chairs, glasses, etc, you may need.

Check out our website to see what we can provide.

In the meantime check out some of these recipes and cocktails which may help the day go well.
