The Rite of Spring depicts an ancient ritual in which a pagan tribe gathers to welcome the Earth’s annual regeneration and propitiate the gods by selecting a sacrificial virgin, who then ritually dances herself to death.

As the sun rises over the primeval landscape TROYLUS SEARLL will waken the world from its wintry slumber with a selection of his Wiccan waltzes and pagan Polkas.

The gods are appeased and you may now surrender your body and soul to the dirty bouncy beats of DJ MIGUEL DARE with his house, r’n’b and hip pop tunes (though dancing yourself to death may be in breach of their health and safety certificate).

Christina Hendricks made a Johnnie Walker whisky ad

hendricks-johnniewalker-top-650x472

Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks is a big fan of whisky. So much so that she is now an ambassador for Johnnie Walker.

Here is what she had to say about it.

My husband enjoys whisky and I thought it was sexy when he ordered it. There’s just something different about whisky, especially Scotch – the color, the aroma, it’s really alluring. I’d take sips of his and started to like it. It’s something you linger over, it’s not something that gets rushed.Johnnie Walker discovered that I like it when a man orders Scotch. They asked me if I wanted to know more about what I found so appealing about it, and the rest is history. I’ve had the pleasure of spending time with our Masters of Whisky at Scotch education events around the world. I’m now confident in what it is that I like about Scotch, and I’m helping other people discover what they like, too.The flavors in Scotch can range dramatically from light and floral to powerful peat and smoke. From what whisky you like, to how you order it – neat, rocks, or with a splash – asking for a Scotch whisky makes a statement. You know what you want and how you want it. That confidence is sexy.

You can see the ad below and lots of photos of Christina enjoying her whisky.
